Towers of destinations

Just to update to those who missed the last (additional) meeting in Monday afternoon, we have come up to this idea of building towers as a conceptual/physical framework to sum up our experience/knowledge exchange in the workshops. It's a result after many mutations and subject to mutate further. Tobias and Heague will further develop it and we expect soon concrete ideas will be coming into action. Stay tuned.

For the update of the image that you scanned about the Towers.

Here are some thoughts that came together with it:

Idea of spatial design - Space of irritation articulated with a spatial treatment
Choreographing the workshop experience

Archiving - Tower of shelves

Tower of Babel - Metaphor for division of language and difference of language ( idea of damnation / punishment)
Difference as a starting point - embracing variety

Stacking as an activity (or simple small act) - stabilise and continuity (workshop metaphor)

Accumulation vs stacking (growing responsibility / collecting history)

Suggest a future

Failed project // diversity vs unification

Stacking vs layering

Some ideas:

Doris - Tower of reason (her list)
Masahiro - Tower of rest-material / absurdity / whatever material (POTENTIAL)
Arin - Tower of basement / negative tower / cave

Tower of archive / presentation
Tower of decay / cycle / growth
Small towers
-
I hope this can help everyone understand the idea of the towers.
